EXTRA VIRGIN COCONUT OIL ORGANIC CERTIFIED – Naturally antibacterial and antifungal, coconut oil for skin is an excellent moisturizer and cleanser. FOOD GRADE. EDIBLE.
ORGANIC VIRGIN COLD PRESSED HEMP OIL – – Hemp is traditionally considered to be the most perfectly balanced nutritional oil available. It contains over 80% essential fatty acids (EFA’s), mainly Omega-6 and Omega-3 including gamma linolenic acid (GLA) And Vitamin E. An excellent moisturiser with anti-inflammatory properties. Easily absorbed by the skin. Environmentally hemp is a positive plant to grow as it requires very little fertiliser. Hemp oil is great in hair and skincare recipes; it is less likely to clog pores than other oils. FOOD GRADE. EDIBLE.
EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL ORGANIC CERTIFIED – Certified organic extra virgin olive oil in skin care products is the most beneficial for you skin. The Oleic Acid is 1% higher than regular olive oil and it remains in its purest state. Oleic Acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid (omega-9 fatty acid) found naturally in many plant and animal sources and is considered one of the healthiest sources of fat.
Extra virgin olive oil does not go through a synthetic process like regular olive oil. High quality olive oil, like certified organic extra virgin, is full of linoleic acids, oleic acids, palmitic acids and polyphenols. These acids actually work by trapping water into your skin, ensuring that your skin is hydrated. FOOD GRADE. EDIBLE.
RAW UNREFINED SHEA BUTTER ORGANIC CERTIFIED – Organic, unrefined Shea butter is Shea butter at its most natural. When Shea butter is refined, the vitamins and minerals that are present in the Shea butter are degraded. Shea butter has a wide range of uses and contains vitamins A, E, K and F. The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in Shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing for skin. This raw Shea butter is extracted in the traditional way by a woman’s co-operative that is committed to empowering local women. FOOD GRADE. EDIBLE.
SODIUM HYDROXIDE – It’s use is to convert oils through the saponification process into soap. None remains in the finished product. You cannot call anything ‘soap’ without the use of this. Anything made without it is technically a ‘detergent’ or ‘cleansing bar’.
HEMP TEA 3% CBD – See Hemp Oil. FOOD GRADE. EDIBLE.
PINK HIMALAYAN SALT – Balancing of the skins pH, Detoxifying the skin. Softening the skin. Toning the skin. Treating acne. Exfoliating the skin. It also improves lathering in soap in small amounts. FOOD GRADE. EDIBLE.
VITAMIN E OIL – Vitamin E is an oil-soluble nutrient and is hence heavier than water-soluble products. It restores the lost moisture, and this is why it works best for dry and damaged skin. FOOD GRADE. EDIBLE.
FRANKINCENSE OIL – Frankincense has the ability to strengthen skin and improve its tone, elasticity, defence mechanisms against bacteria or blemishes, and appearance as someone ages. It may help tone and lift skin, reduce the appearance of scars and acne, and heals wounds. It may also be beneficial for fading of stretch marks, surgery scars or marks associated with pregnancy, and for healing dry or cracked skin. CAN BE EATEN, THOUGH NOT RECOMMENDED.

I have intentionally avoided using Palm Oil in my soap as I feel it is ethically wrong to do so due to its link to deforestation and the loss of habitat caused to animals that are now under threat such as Orangutans.
